    Personified Promise
    If a Promise Could Talk…

    Do not search for me
    I'm nowhere to be found
    In the never-never land
    I'm forever bound

    Do not remember me
    I never did exist
    I am the amnesia
    Your trying to resist

    Do not wish for me
    I'm no part of a dream
    I'm not what you want
    Because I'm not what I seem

    Do not reach for me
    For I cannot be touched
    I don't even have the tongue
    To tell you half as much

    Do not pray for me
    I'm not among the souls
    I am even emptier
    Than the hollowest of holes

    Do not feel for me
    Pity is for pain
    and because I have no heart
    There's nothing you can gain

    Do not believe in me
    From me no words are spoken
    I do not hold a care for you
    I am the promise broken

    I have to be honest with you...your poems are some of the BEST that I have read on this site. I am still trying to tear myself away from them so I can get back to work...but I am losing that battle. Keep up the wonderful work.
