Phoenix

Poem Commentary

rise like the Phoenix way above the sky!!!

Phoenix

Worthless, powerless

How blue I do feel

So lonely and light

Floating like a feather

In the wind

In a cold winters night.

I have no final destination

No means and no beginning

No end, no life, no hope

Drifting, passing by

Like nothing affects me

Nothing moves me

Nothing can touch me

And my heart of stone

From ashes I wish to be

Reborn

Like the phoenix

That flew and conquered

The blue sky

Defeating its death

And its purpose in life

Finding the freedom

That keeps hope alive.

Nicely done, from the beginning that captures the flight of the feather to the last stanza connecting to the mythical Phoenix. See my poem Feathers.

I like the lore that surrounds the phoenix. There was supposedly only one phoenix in existence at one time. It was very alone, but strong. I like how you envelope the free feel of it, being beyond the entrapment of death. Even with such a gift, I don't think it was an evil creature.... well writtten.

Thank you for sharing, I'd of never known otherwise. Your sweet, kind and quiet, we need to find you a man of passion who leaves no ashes.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
