Picture life
The silver frames your faceEternally sealed in beauty
Holding me to this place
Too many secrets to see plainly
I know in truth
Your bodies broken, rotting
Far beneath my feet
But here and now
You are immortal,
The memory I have of you
Is fading year by year
But this is true
My love snared
Within a simple tear
Nearly ten years
Since you breathed my air
Held my hand
Then faded to some other realm
I have yet to visit
Each year I say I will
But in the end
I'm always too afraid
So I stare
At this picture
Pray for forgiveness
Hope on a heaven
I hope you're happy
No more pain
And sanity found in death,
As I know living is madness
Often I think to myself
You truly are the lucky one,
Nothing to bother you
No more pain
I hope you can't see me
Remembering only the child
Not this disgrace
You'd sneer at, weak,
One day I hope
To make my peace with you,
today there's too much pain
But maybe tomorrow.
