    Pink Elephant

    Hidden feelings

Only exposing themselves on the dance floor

Can she see it in my eye’s

    Feel it in my hands

    She laughs and smiles

    What does it mean

She hides through out the night

    Attached to her pink elephant

    She’s had her Heart broken

I’ve been broken for some time

    I know better

    I’ll keep these emotions hidden

At bay on the dance floor

I want these feelings to die

For they are not mutual on her behalf

    Another dead end

    Kinda hurts

    She’s a great Dancer

    A great source of smiles

Her Beauty driving me mad with desire

Alas it must remain on the floor

    A dancing affair at best

    A break in routine

    She spends time next door

Off the floor she stays close

    Frustrated with feelings

Made to look a fool in front of her

    How does one react

She has another at her side anyway

    I write and I feel

    What more can I do

She’ll never be more than a Dance

    More than a Dream

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
