    Pitter Patter Of Little Feet

The pitter patter of little feet fills the morning air,

Telling the story of the life I have lived,

And how I became papa bear,

The pitter  patter of little feet,

    The sounds of infectious laughter,

Says someone’s involved in some mischievous thing,

    Perhaps playing in the water,

The pitter patter of little feet is the sound of my own true future,

What could it be this patter pitter?

    It’s only my daughter Jerusha.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
