    Plant Your Seeds

    If you would just remember,
    To always plant your seeds;
    Then God will surely supply,
    Not some but all your needs.
    Make sure you don’t forget,
    How that old story go;
    One day you're going to reap,
    Whatever today you sow.
    Please don't plant an apple seed,
    And expect to reap a plum;
    Because if you sow an apple seed,
    Then an apple is what will come.
    And remember before all your earnings,
    Are completely wasted and spent;
    You can't afford to forget,
    God asked for His ten percent.
    You're suppose to give God's first,
    You can have the 90 percent that's left;
    And with it you'll be able to do,
    A whole lot more for yourself.
    Because what you have left will go farther,
    Than the whole 100 percent will;
    Besides if you don't give God His,
    Then from God is where you steal.
    So make sure you do the right thing,
    Whenever it's time to plant your seeds;
    Then relax and watch how God works,
    In supplying every one of your needs.

    I know where you are going but the route you took confused me a little. Maybe you should have added the old story about the apple seed on the end. When I first started to read I thought it was about reaping what we sow, the title said "Plant your seed" but the poem is about paying tithes (giving God his 10%). Either way God deserves his portion from everything we prosper from because it is God that provided it in the first place. People need to know, so thanks for the why and repercussion.

    Clementine this is so true. how often I neglect to give God back 10% of his own money. Everything I have belongs to him and sometimes I am not a good stewart. This is a well written and great reminder.

    Hi Johnny, and thanks for your visit. That was amazing about the tomato and potato. I guess that tomato-potato thing was like a miracle within itself (so to speak). What did you all call vine since both were on it (a topomato vine) (smile)? Did you all take pictures? I know that was something to see. Thanks for sharing that with me and be blessed!!!
