    Platonic

    You host my thoughts
As the summer breeze caresses my skin
Gently pushing me in your direction
    Though, you are not here
We have achieved a love, platonic love...
Meaning I'll never experience your close embrace
    But, I love you
And your smile is my smile
You are far from my arms to secure
But you are free to soar
    Which lifts my spirits
    Because I feel real love

kinda the sad love that is truer then the love that is just lust. I don't like the line "As the summer breeze caresses my skin" just seems like it messes with the mood of it a bit for me.

This was good. I thought the way you conveyed the message was well done and it wasn't done in a sappy way good work Plot121

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
