Biography

Born a Virginian as a "baby boomer", raised in Boxelder, Texas until age of 10. Moved to Garland, Texas, and graduated from Garland High School. Moved to Henderson, Texas, and raised my three children. Relocated back to Garland, remarried and transplanted to Dixon, Missouri.

My husband and I have bought a campground and bluegrass festival. We are having a lot of fun enjoying the music. Just this year, we were voted "promoters of the year" with the SPBGMA association of Missouri. Our festivals are Memorial and Labor Day. Music is the other love I have.

I am sharing here my poems that I have written in my earlier days. Hoping you enjoy them and would like some feedback on them. I also have written a series or children's stories that I have recorded on a CD. It is called "Terry and His Magic Tricycle". They were written for my youngest son during his toddler years. It has been a favorite at the elementry schools where I have substituted.

I have just recently experienced a Heart Transplant from St. Luke's Heart Institute in Kansas City, MO. It has been an awsome experience and to have received a second chance is a wonderful blessing. I thank God for this opportunity and experience. He truly is an awsome God.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
