I wish everyone who visits here a big HELLO! or if you're from the south (US), I wish you a big HEY!
I stay at home taking care of my husband who's surviving cancer (tho b/c of it our marriage is not surviving). And I have a 49 year old brother who's deaf, blind and severly depressed, who needs my care.
I'm the most misunderstood person I know (please no boo hoos :), for a college instructor corrected me that it isnt that I think "different" from others, its that I "think mooore than others".

Currently I'm a budding stained glass artist-my pics show my sec ond piece. I keep a camera in my purse and the trees struck me, in Sept/Oct in northern Illinois just outside the cancer treatment center. For being neighborhood trees there, I felt they best expressed in a simple way the awe inspiring diversity of the hand of God. The colors amidst all the trees are amazing. The next pic is what I thought would help my mom to cope in a nursing home that she was put into by a social worker. I bought her a 10 gallon aquarium for her room. She wanted a "BETA" such as I had who was named "Oscar" and responded like a dog when he saw me, all excited and he would keep to the side of the aquarium that I sat at. Quite a character as Betas go. Hey, they got "Finding Nemo" out there and my Oscar was just as prolific (and may I say without the acting classes) such as Nemo.
The aquarium was quite nice but the pictures make it look cartoonish. Still you can see her "FRED" at the base of the palm tree.
I like writing poetry and prefer to write as gifts rather than for public display but thats ok. And I like to write. I dont know if I get bored easily or if I need the break so currently besides the stained glass I have a childrens story going, a novel of literary study of human emotions and choices, a mystery/thriller going, and I'm waiting for the cable company to call about their producer classes where they teach about... producing :P.
And unfortunately I have a few great ideas requiring more money than I have toward moving forward on a few invention ideas I have. Unfortunately our savings is gone and I cant yet afford even the patent atty to search.
I have a funky picture b/c I'm always behind the camera so I tried to take my own picture by way of mirror. You know those always look goofy. I got a clear shot on one but then you know the 25 lbs a camera adds...so personal pic later.
I have 2 older sons, one in the military and the other in a different setting where he is learning to cope and function. His fiancee died unexpectedly and suddenly the first week of 2009. Its hard I suppose since he is a poet, songwriter, musician, comedian and all those other things you dont get paid for unless you press on. But those things you bare your soul.
(Not literally). but her death ripped his skin off he has said.
If my marriage lasts through this, we will retire in 36 months, sell the house and move south or west where the palm trees sway and there's lush greenery (meaning LIFE to me!) And where if you ask for a pen you might get a pin and you might wonder how tall is a towel.and exactly how far is a fire...Ah,,its late. Insomnia visited tonight as she does each night to tell me to get up and do something quiet.
And last but not least my house is haunted. I despise that. Some have said its subconscious energy I'm using to suppress conflicts from entering my conscious mind and ergo find solutions, peace, happiness.
C'est la vie.
