I am a hard working person that has a sensitive side that has lead me to write poetry since as a man in my job cn't really express what I feel. I have been writing poetry for sveral years now and have been published a few times in a couple of books. I never really liked poetry in school much less writing it, but with all things, time makes us change. I was good at it and one ofmy high school teachers saw it and pushed me and even signed me up for a workshop that that was put on by the goveroner of South Carolina one year. Deep down I enjoyed it and that really started the creative juices flowing. Now I write a good bit and enjoy it to the fullest. My poetry is sad and dark most of the time since it deals with love's lost battles and I use it to deal with depressing matters. I guess I follow Jon Dunn's verse, " I am two fools I know, one for loving and the other for saying so in whiney poetry."
