A word to my fellow writers: I would not normally post something so personal to this box, but I feel a need to share, and maybe in doing so, offer the slightest recompense of blessings you have so generously bestowed upon me, in return... along with more reading and comments on my part...oh goody!


I have been an oxymoron all my life. lol. A social butterfly when inclined; an eccentric recluse when afforded opportunity. lol. But, in profoundly difficult times, I have a tendency to isolate to extreme and no matter how hard I try, solemn silence prevails and I am captured by that solitary place between reality and soul (as in my poem). A blessing in that it is a place of solace and deep inspiration. A curse in that the seeds of hope in reality, for a time are deeply buried; maybe not so much in depression, but unspeakable awareness and acceptance of those things in life that must be met with quiet strength and resolve, reserving every ounce of energy for survival, whether spiritual, physical, mental, or emotional, or all of the above.


The point: I am facing one of those profoundly difficult times and I have spilled the blood of my soul on to these pages and YOU, to my utter amazement, have received it with open arms. Your kind words of encouragement and praise, your poetry, are thought of as nothing less than having breathed life-giving strength and hope to me and my writing in a time of great need...THANK YOU. With all my heart. May you continue to inspire and bless many just as you have me!
