    Poets and Poems

From the depths of the poet’s mind

Come words framed by feelings struggling to be set free

Conceived in a storm of emotions

    Born of life’s painful lessons

Once written there is no escape

The poem is forever a part of the poet

A lasting reflection of the poet’s inner soul

Kinda like taking off your Superman cape in a phone booth, huh? The tights come next...

Very well said. I like succinct work. A lot has been said in just a few words.

Well said! It is quite an afliction,in my opinion to have to write whats surfacing-but it is also such a feeling of self. You worded this perfectly,a dead on discription of the compulsion to create.I really love this!

Thanks very much. Did you happen to read The Creative Process?

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
