POLITENESS PAYS

Being polite is a pleasant way to begin everyday,
A smile to begin with, when you're prepared to say,
"Good morning" or "good evening, good night" or "good day",
Is the best, it's the neighborly and approachable way.

When at work remember, that punctuality and politeness too,
Will help most people appreciate and understand your view,
It sets the stage for conversation so that they'll know,
And you'll be a good neighbor wherever you go.

Neighborly relationships have grown from being polite,
Not for favors or convenience, weather day or night,
Sometimes true politeness helps you not to fail,
And you'll know your neighbor as friendships are unveiled.

Politeness is very healthy for a business too,
And will take your business far, it's proven to be true,
Do you see the greeters at these big blue stores?
Greeting with politeness and gives you more and more?

Showing thanks and appreciation for kindness shown to you,
Making you outstanding and approachable too,
Is the more rewarding way to spend your day,
Yes I'm sure and positive, that true politeness pays.
