potential lover

She doesn't see me,
yet I watch with such intensity,
Can't pretend that she
doesn't intrigue me.

At this moment shes my world
and I have never entered hers.
dont wana waste the visual
with a innapropriate converse

the image I have of this woman before me
swirls in my head and becomes a story,
reality may prove this goddes would bore me
so I keep my headdown so that she can ignore me.

your lips move in pastel
and your hips watercolored,
eyes that can cast spells
and a smile like no other

if ever the courage was found to approach her
no telling what the future might bring
might get discourage or hot as a toaster
or pehaps be buying a ring

for now Il just smile
and watch for awhile
thinking of one thing or another
its better sometimes, to just let it be,
a thought, a potential lover

I really like this. It's very well written and the subject matter is light with a thoughtful undertone. Kudos Dtalks.

This is a very beautifully written and interesting poem.I have expereienced this a few times in my life and have learned that when I see an interesting woman that I would like to meet,I go and talk to her.Perhaps we will just have a pleasant conversation or perhaps it could develop into something more. As the saying goes nothing ventured nothing gained.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
