Poem Commentary

I have this poem and THIS PEN published in books. That was really exciting for me.

POVERTY

Poverty is anger
Poverty is strife
Poverty is sickness
And loss of life

The depth of poverty
Knows no bounds
She wears her disease
Like a golden crown

Poverty seeks to kill and destroy
All that's left is sadness; no joy
No matter if one is weak or strong
Poverty is death; and it is wrong

How perfectly spiritual you are, or have to be, to pen such an honest and refreshing piece—TY!

I hear that. Say that again! Nice. You have given a voice to the voiceless.

so so true, I love this poem, poverty is not good for anybody you would think in these days people would have sympathy for one another, but the world is full of greedy and selfish people. wondeful, plain and simple but amazingly put

As a bit of poetry, it's not bad. As philosophy it's just plain mad. None- the- less, I like you as a person, though will not cry.

Thank you!! I was angry at the time of this one. And maybe a little depressed!! I you can see, it doesn't last.

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
