    Prison

    prison

You walk in the shadows, escaping the light.

I see you there you can't hide.

    Go ahead regret your life!

I'm here in your face telling you every things alright.

You hide within your shell, playing it cool.

    Thinking you have everyone fooled....

I see your darkness, I've climbed inside your soul....

I feel the pain of your battle, I know your tired and cold.

You run from me, I know too much!

Your locked in your cage, no tears streak your face.

You think you can hide....escape the pain.

You attempts are worthless, you lay with no embrace.

Scratching the walls that hold you prisoner day after day

Why? I beg you....You know it's killing me.

look in my eyes, I know the same....

Feel the life your missing, let go of the pain.

All I can do is fall to my knees, and pray.

I showed you what you didn't want to see.

The reflection in the mirror is a reflection of me.

Still you don't believe.... you walk away with another regret on your sleeve.

And I am left with your pain.

I really like this poem, very deep. Thanks for sharing it with us all.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
