    Progress Report

    I'm on a journey, to where I don't know.
Trying to find which direction to go.
I'm in a good place and all's going fine.
Happy and peaceful, at least for the time.

Known trouble and sorrow, and plenty of strife.
Lost a young son and my beautiful wife.
Had troubles at work, been financially stressed,
I've been very lonely, sad and depressed.

Also known sunshine as well as some joy.
Blessed with great children, a girl and a boy.
Got a nice house, many friends I must say.
Two wonderful dogs I watch as they play.

Spirit is guiding my journey through time.
Health, a new love, many blessings are mine.
I am happy right now as probably shows.
I'm taking the time to sniff from a rose.

aggie, This is perfectly delivered and the clown pic is a riot and shows your great heart and sense of humor. You may appreciate 2 poems I wrote dedicated to my love: "Oh Cling to Me" and "Bellevue Falls." Also "Silver Lining" was written after I started feeling a bit more optimistic. I can fully relate to your progres report and I too am an educator. ginga

I like your optimism and would like to know your secret!! I like how you go full circle and still see the light at the end, good poem, perky , hopeful, good rhyme and rhythm

The struggles of life bring us full circle. I keep coming back to your poems and insight. Such parallels we have live.

Very good write. The poem takes you from the end of sorrow to a beacon of progress. Nicely done.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
