Promises

Promises

As the sun rises
the promises and
expectations
for this new day
pierce the departing
darkness
with a breath of light
with a smile
of hope.

We are blessed...

Reminded
to seek the light
urged
to follow the sun
to step forward
into the morning
expecting abundance
looking for miracles
honoring truth.

You strike an important chord reminding us that promises by our Creator bare come with some reciprocal obligation of our own responsibilities too for such blessings...

Thanks, Sam, your always shine a lovely light with your comments, glad you came by to read... thanks again!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
