Promises

Your words are full of promises.

You promised that we would always be happy.

Promise broken

You promised you would never lie.

Another promise broken

You promised you would never break my heart.

Another promise broken

Your promises are nothing but empty words.

I can't take this anymore.

Every promise broken,

Is like a lie you haven't spoken.

this poem is in deed deep. its like you were screaming the words inside as it was written. there are so many emotions arapped up into this one. it stirs so many emotions from within. so i wil keep my comments to a minimum, beause i know a word uttered cannot be taken back. Good job on expressing yourself.

Very Good. I love the rhymn to the poem. It is both succint and paints a good picture. I especially liked the ending - Every promise broken, Is like a lie you haven't spoken. Keep up the good work.

So true in this day and age, people use the word promise so sadly, when a real promise can never be broken. So it is better to not promise unless one is willing to take it to there grave and most are not.I dont make a promise unless my heart says its one that I can keep.as every promise God has made will be kept.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
