    Puddle of Red

Inside I feel pain and madness.
My heart kills as I scream.

My body I slash deep with a knife
The blade enters deeper with a push

Blood flows out like a river
The only thing I see is the color red

The blood drains down my body
Soon there is a puddle all over the floor

The pain soon ends but becomes fear
I am now tempted to do this again

This time I know I will go deeper
The gash in my body will be thicker

The next time you see me I will be laying dead
The only thing your recognize is my puddle of red

Sounds dark and very sad, emotions and thoughts I know very well. From one of your responces this was when you where 15 and your mom was sick. That must have been difficult so young to deal with that. Good story, your ability to write about how you feel is good to share for others to learn and others to maybe help as well.

I put alot of feeling into my poems. I like knowing that people feel the same way that I do when I write my poems. If they get the whole experience than they know how I truly felt at the time. Thankyou for the comment!

That poem was written back when I was 15, during the time that my mother was drifting away from this world, and leaving me forever

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
