Purple Skies

Purple Skies

Purple is the sky that illuminates the snow

From the glistening stars that set it aglow

Footsteps in the snow gently caressing

Side by side, each gently pressing

Like your heart and mine together

Crossing over and over entwined forever

The steps stop for only a moment

Lips now pressed will never forget

Hearts as one, walk hand in hand

From the snowy hills to the moonlit sand

Minds and hearts beating as one

A love that is surpassed by none

Steps in the snow, side by side

Building forever, far and wide

Purple sky above us this night

Has given these hearts a new delight

Swan

Thank you! What a nice compliment. .........Swan

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
