I don't mean to sound so insecure,
Or needy or lonely or scared.
But I have to know some of what the future holds,

My brain becomes muddled,
My feelings flip through to many gears.
So I have to know how you feel,
About the time that we have here.

So do me a favor and be honest.
There need be no lies.
There is no need to sugar coat it,
You need not pluck pretty words from the sky.
I want us to be together.
But you have to tell me the truth.
