Questions
When silence surrounds us,
And our thoughts take over,
How do we know what is real or make believe,
When we have been deceived?
When promises were left empty,
And words seem to fade,
How do we trust,
When life is a game of charades?
How do we hold onto faith,
When things are better left to fray.
A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
