Quiet Desperation

Trying to be still in waters of quiet desperation
She fought against aspiration and abnormal cell regeneration
She could have by-passed pain
and received her gift of Heaven,
But seeing her loved ones face to face gave her strength to keep surviving.
It's strength of mind she told me
of prayer to the One Above
And fighting with her mind
For the ones that she does love
Experiences are filled with pardoxical perspectives
How death gives birth to life
In Christian-like directives.
You must deny yourself
and DAILY take up your cross
For worldly sorrow only goes so far,
Then in the end your lost.
A heart for God and longing
For glory from above
In due time will truly shine the Secret of His love.

She is so strong. Even her love for her family and her husband empowers her to continue to fight the good fight. I admire her... MSV

Instead of embracing an apathy for life; you look to the hills from whence your help comes from. You cherish the lovely blessings that were planted in your life and although some have been uprooted for Heaven's Garden you acknowledge the strength, courage, endurance, and love that permeated your life along with the love of God!!! Exceptionally inspiring piece.

Thanks so much for your critique. I try to tell a story without loosing people. I'm glad I didn't loose you.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
