Poem Commentary

This is a dedication to Jeanieblue - a friend of Phoenix9 and a member of this site. She is suffering with cancer and, as of 24 August 2009, may have only weeks left here with us. Although I've not personally known her, it's pretty clear that she's an angelic soul. And may the Holy Father bless her and keep her.

"Brightest and Bluest"

The eternity of the Lord's lands shine
And shine of violet sparks ever bright
In all dimensions, all facets divine
We are pulsars, lighthouses in the night.

The lucidity of the mind is vast
And so far between awake and alive
Seven million planets exist and last
We play in the rifts of the solar drive.

The infinity of Heaven is home
The dream of life is only a light year
On Earth in tears we must for a time roam
Farewell, and know, you were truly loved here.

This is very touching and well-written. It almost reads like a passage from a bible, perhaps from a lost scroll. Very good.

I just read this read and my sadness spilled over for this young lady that is going home soon. May her last days be full of joy and bliss knowing her friends are supportive of her. Yes, life is only a light year away................. I am sure she will come back as an angel and impart true joy and bliss from above. So the next time you look towards the heavens and the stars are out in their full glory.....just take a look and wink at the angel that surely is JeannieBlue...........

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
