Poem Commentary

Everyone has dreams- some good, and some not so great. You should never take any dream for granted. The famous words of one man were; "I Have A Dream". These 4 words helped me to experience a level of freedom and opportunity that would not have been made possible if Reverened Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had not followed his dream. If you are reading this, and you have a positive dream for mankind and humanity- follow your dream!

"Inside My Dreams" by Herbert Hewliss Brown

When I close my eyes, darkness and shadows soothe me. My thoughts drift away, and dreams set my mind free. Mind free, I am unaware of everything that surrounds me. Before I can open my eyes, again, the darkness and shadows are inside my dreams and I see.

I see things in my past. I see a future that will last and happiness I have never known! I see my children smiling with no pain in their eyes and true love about to be grown.

Inside my dreams, I see a world full of wonder-a world full of possibilities. I see the failures of my past go up in smoke freeing me of all my insecurities.

Inside my dreams, where nothing can bring me harm. I feel safe like a baby held in its mother’s arms. I feel warm and protected, and loved like never before. Inside my dreams, I would love to stay and dream forevermore.

Well, 2 years can be a long time. Your comment has to have value and it is still here! Thank you seems "weak" in reply after such time has passed. Moreover, I wish I could hand you a winning lottery ticket! LoL!

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
