    "The Place"

    An earthen abode,
    with margin design.
    For kindred that pass,
    archives of bloodline.
    Names of lineage,
    etched in stone.
    A garden enriched with,
    tears, blood, and bone.
    A verbal petition,
    reserves vacant space.
    Decendants are blessed,
    to rest at "The Place".

What is left of life for the dying...is it thoughts of the grave and the coldness...or is it time left to do more smiling and warming of others. A well written picture of an ending, Corinna.....................gogant

Very good. I love dark poetry, In poetry death and darkness can join to give birth to life and brighter days. Love it.

oh my goodness, i love this poem, its so dark but yet truthfull. it really speaks to me. i love it.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
