"The Teacher"

“The Teacher”
(Marred and tinted with blood)

I have never seen a Teacher
With mind abound
With so much wisdom
Mouthing teachings and lessons
In parables, prose and poetry
Read by millions
In all generations

A teacher
With remarkable composure
Of philosophical decent dignity
Waves of followers
By the thousands
Sat quietly,
Listening intently
Gobbling His words
With passion

His life sprouted
 From a virgin womb
From a blessed woman
 So delicately pure
Breathed life
In a place unfittingly low
 Suited for non- human
 So humiliating

Beyond panic
 Confusion and restlessness
In the midst
Of the limitless sea
Amidst the anger
Of the raging thunderstorm
The Teacher
Raised a hand
All became
Serene and calm

Number of acts
 He performed
Miracles they called
Blind have seen the light
Cleaned skin
 Blemished with leprosy
A man from his grave
 Recalled to life

In His birth
In the holiest of all nights
Three kings
Journeyed long and far
From the east of Israel
 To Bethlehem
 Guided with spotlight
 From a star so bright
With gifts so valuable
They honor
The King of kings

The Teacher gave out
His borrowed human body
Via horrifying painful crucifixion
Very forgiving
Although His mortal body
Marred and tinted
With sinners blood
