    "The Wings of an Angel"

Although I'm no longer with you,

    Please know you're not alone.

I'm flying on the wings of an angel,

As I journey towards my new home.

God knew what he was doing,

When he sent his angels from above,

To take me to a better place,

A place filled with peace and love.

Although I'm no longer with you,

please know my love will stay.

As I fly on the wings of an angel,

To a new and glorious day.

There will be no more sadness,

There will be no more rain.

There will be no more heartache,

Thank God there will be no more pain.

Although I'm no longer with you,

God said that it was time.

I'm flying on the wings of an angel,

To a victory that is now mine.

So to all of you I leave behind,

I just thought you should know.

There's no need to cry for me,

Because it was my time to go.

Although I'm no longer with you,

    Please know I am free.

As I fly on the wings of an angel

To live with my God for all eternity!

    Very good girl!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
