    Rain Day

    Rain

    The sky was cloudy and threatened rain

    While I was swept away

    Dancing through the rain drops

    I laughed, and dreamed and played

    I splashed in puddles, and balanced on walls

    I climbed grassy hills, while I tried not to fall

    I smiled up at the sky and the clouds

    With their bellies so filled

    And the life giving water

    Continued to spill

    I admired my garden and others close by

    While rain drops spilled over the flowers and I

    Then I ran back inside and flew up my stairs

    Went out on my porch and watched the showers

    from there.
