    Rain Drops

    did you ever sit;quietly, on a front porch,
    the morning after a rain?

    noticing; the silver,crystal,drops of rain
    that cling to the leaves.
    an awesome sight for your eyes.

    like diamonds so rare!
    nuturing his creation

    hanging there until bumped!
    or his gentle wind,dries it.

    birds chirping nearby;
    their melodous song

    breaking the silence
    of a ever so still sunday morn.

    Such a lovely visual this poem gives. I almost felt the raindrops spray as the tree branch was bumped! I think you captured the feel of the atmosphere after a fresh cleansing rain. Love it!

    hello icu2~ i was sitting on my ft.porch when i wrote this and yes right after a rain.

    A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
