Rain on My Heart

    Rain on My Heart

    I hear it falling.
Late at night, while I sleep; in the early morning when I wake.
The rain on my heart, it consumes me.
Did you not know the sun runs from my direction?
My soul does not allow singing birds nor does it welcome them.
It used to be my friend, I'd love to watch the drops slide down the window as thoughts of my childhood arose.
    Not now.
    Not anymore.
Rain is always falling on my heart.
When will the sunshine be let back in?
    That remains a mystery.....

The sunshine will come back in time. You will find happiness. Who knows, it may find you.

This is a very good poem concerning the affairs of the heart. You paint a very unique picture through your word choice in this poem. Great write.

    nice work. Thanks!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
