Rain's Song

Poem Commentary

Forbidden love, but who says it isn't already what it is? What it will be?

Rain's Song

I laid in the silence
and heard your heart beats whisper to me.

The blankets are soft and warm.
Your arms go on for miles, covering me
in bliss.

Pitter, patter. Whispering
This is how the rain sings.

I am so flawed. How can you accept me?
My head rests on your stomach, and you breath
so lightly.

Rain drops fall on the roof,
and I watch them trickle down the window.
Your breath is light.
I didn't know that you had already let me in...

I am at a loss for words on this one... its as if my soul was a harp, an you strummed it, hitting all the right notes. That is so rare with me. My easiest 10 since I joined OP. And if I could give it a higher rating, I would!

"I am so flawed. How can you accept me?" — the honesty in this line is breathtaking. "Your breath is light. I didn't know that you had already let me in..." — again, you have my attention, for you are real, more than real, heavenly.

You are too kind, Dah. You give me too much credit. :) I wish to be apart of this world with you, in writing. :) Wonderful to think of....

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
