Rain/Shine
Which is more important,
The sunshine or the rain?
How can you have both
Happiness and pain?
When the skies are blue with puffy clouds
And sunshine all around,
I can feel the warmth upon my skin
As the rays are shining down.
But when the gray clouds roll on in,
Things get so exciting.
I can feel the thunder in my soul.
I can’t wait for the lightning.
In the sun I feel the gentle breeze.
I can go outside to play.
A storm holds so much passion.
It’s winds blow me away.
Sometimes the sun is way too hot,
So I’m begging for the rain.
When a storm rages out of control
It can bring destruction and pain.
Why can’t it just be
A rainbow all the time?
Rain and sun at once.,
Both of them all mine.
