RANDOM ...TONIGHT!

I felt empty,  so tonight,
I sought solace in this site.

Varied wordings filled the screen
I browsed sonnets, odes and hyms..

Then I wondered; yes, I wondered...
just how many more like me
feel the urge to put to words
what their hearts can't say, yet feel.

I sensed love in simple phrases,
I felt rage in sheer outbursts!
I was shamed by such obscenities.
I got burned by fuming hate.

Now I ask myself in silence,
"to which group should I converse?"
I am sad so should I wander
to those poems that speak of laughter?

If I go to poems of hatred,
would I rise above my plight?
If I stray to lines of wisdom,
would my frown be changed to calm?

So confused and so bewildered,
from one poem I jumped and hopped.
Seeking answers  to my questions,
should I read or should I stop?

Random thoughts raced through my brain cells.
Now I find myself inspired.
Out to tell our friends you've helped me.
Now I'm back in shape all right!!!
