    Ready to Sink

Leave it to get lost in the blistering cold, come back old, hopefully grown up in a matter where life is approached a little different.  Where the birds chirping is clearer than it was before, kids that come out will have more in store than to wonder around to figure shit out after it's too late to make a difference.  Leave the moment for an instant that's quite compared to a blink, take time to think, don't take the rusted ship if you had a dream that it would sink.  Believe in your decisions, believe in why you're living, believe in the mistakes that have you asking to be forgiven.  The ways of simple minds is hard to find where the cities are covered by smog.  Hard to breathe true, tough for the seasons to actually change, where the quarters mixing with nickles never get rearranged.  Getting robbed right under your nose as your branch of bank closes to say that's all that they had, times are bad yes they are but this scar will eventually heal.  So feel the real that exists among our today, take this time to walk away, get back to the simple living that makes you smile, take all the time you may need because I foresee good times to come will take awhile.

Worthless commented on Ready to Sink

Is it really easy to just walk away from all you've ever known? Even if torture, rape, disrespect and all the other forms of evil is all that to you has shown? Everyday gets worse and your forced to wake up and deal with so many different kinds of pain and hurt? When you know that you've fallen off the deep end and there is no one in the world that can make you feel welcomed again. Wonderin' if this is punishment for all your sins and all you ever wanted was to be loved by someone.... No happiness or forgiveness within your soul because darkness and hatred has taken control and the past is all you seem to know... I Like this, I'm surprised no one else has read this, but the same goes for my poems...

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
