    Real

     It's been so long
    Nine long months without you
    Do you still think of me like that
    I know I do on occasion
    It was not a permanent thing
    I knew this going in
    But it was real
    Your lips to mine
    Real
    Your hands running on my sides
    Real
    You throwing me to the wall
    Real
    That time on the lake
    Where no one would see
    Real
    The first time in your room
    The dogs snoring in the corner
    You were so gentle but so feral
    You and I that moment...
    Real
    Last summer I made you a man
    You brought me out of my shell
    Last summer you showed me I am liked
    Last summer was so...
    Real
    I know we broke it off
    I have another looking at me
    But they are so far
    And you merely a block away
    What we did last summer was good
    What we did was fun
    What we did felt right
    Are you up for another run?
    Because everthing seems so...
    Surreal

    Great write. You have a great catch at the beginning that got me hooked. I really liked the way you spaced lines with just the word "real". It drove your point home.
