    Thinking of when Angela Davis came to Cornell College in Ithaca NY When a man stood up in the crowd who had been newly released from prison asking for help.

    Realization of closed minds

     Did my time
    paid my debt
    but you folks
    wont let me forget
    a crime I did
    in the past
    done in a second
    people make it last
    burned ever in your mind
    never to be paid through out time
    Come out try again
    come out beautiful men
    try hard over come
    can their hearts
    ever be won??

    VERY GOOD WRITE ...WHY DO WE PAY SO MUCH MONEY TO THE GOV FOR REHAB IF IT DOEST DO ANY GOOD WHEN YOU PAY ...YOU HAVE PAID...STILL U ARE MARKED FOR WHAT? A JOINT..GIVE ME AH BREAK WHEN THE GOV STEALS EVERYDAY OF OUR LIFE..AGAIN VERY GOOD WRITE 10+

    Some would say a person deserves to suffer forever for their crimes...its a double standard to be sure...it depends alot I think on the type of crime as well as the gender of the person committing it and the gender and age of the person who was the victim....there is reall no right or wrong in so many ways to this particular question to me....in alot of ways to pick a side would seem hypocritical if it ever became more personal to the one who judges.....truly thought provoking.....Cher

    There are so many ways in which we as a people lump those who are incarcerated together as cast aways. 1 bad apple makes all the basket look uneatable.
