Realization

Beautiful, that she is, and you say this to me

as if I don't matter

to you at all.

I cry silently and wish to be

your beauty.

And silently my thoughts belittle me.

I stopped for a moment

within your years of craze

and my stupidity.

I believed in your words.

You humored me with your lack of respect,

though time repeats itself and I doubt myself.

Here my reflection reveals

crystal blue water eyes without tears,

a mind of intelligence,

self-esteem full of endurance,

a body of sacredness,

and a soul of beautifulness.

I said goodbye to you

and hello to my life.

An awesome self healing work you've created from deep within. I'm honored to be the first to comment on your first two poems here. Great write! Bear

Thank you so much!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
