    Red

    Red, dark lucious red.
Every where; Red is all i see.
Flowing from a once living person.
    Dripping off my hands.
    Red, soaked into my shirt.
    Through it is night,
    red is all i see.
A man i knew quit well,
    lay still on the ground.
    In a red pool.
    Red, staining the earth.
    Punctured more than several times.
    Red flowing freely.
    Life gone from his eyes.
    Try to stop the red,
    with no avail.
    Wonder what madness
    took the man
to do this to his brother?

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
