  • Learn yourself, love yourself, and respect yourself! Your past is but on step towards your future.

Poem Commentary

A piece reflective of what i pray women around the world will embrace... We have so much to give , share , and learn from each other ...

Reflections of me , reflections of you

You should look at other women & see the beauty in yourself ,
Stop letting these Devils steal your inner wealth.
Be ashamed to tear down a fellow sister ,
If you succeed in wishing her dead , you may end up missing her ...Instead.

See we have more in common than the eye can see,
Your mirror , allows others to reflect who they could be.
a visual retreat for our feminity.
which whole heartedly denies our insecurities.

Reflections of me , reflections of you ...
we each hold each other's missing piece to pursue ..
Reflections of me , reflections of you,
without you i'll never find the answers to the clues...

When  I look at my sister gals , I see more than your pain,
I see the strength it took to withstand the rain ...
Your my mirror , full of wonderful images ...
your true inner beauty displays riches greater than
ten men's wages.

I see your youthful innocense , you thought you'd lost,
Our sacred love is free , Jesus paid the cost .
I enjoy learning the story of your growth,
since it took hard knocks to acquire that girth

Reflections of me , reflections of you ...
we each hold each other's missing piece to pursue ..
Reflections of me , reflections of you,
without you i'll never find the answers to the clues...

At first glance , you remind me of a whimsical dance,
I'm sometimes jealous of the reflective romance.
You see,..... through you , I can admire love at any age...
so your mirror becomes , my own private stage.

Let's build each other up , where the world tore  us apart ,
Show them we're more than beauty.. we're smart.
Erase the hate within ourselves,
Leaving no room for fear on our shelves.

Reflections of me , reflections of you ...
we each hold each other's missing piece to pursue ..
Reflections of me , reflections of you,
without you i'll never find the answers to the clues...

With each smile , a projection of control and grace,
the light reveals , you've saved me a special place.
So I creep in and carefully clean the wounds ,
From greedy souls , who were quick to consume.

Please don't be so down , bitter , nor torn,
From Jehovah your intrusted and sworn.
Let's lift each other's spirits from those terrible pits,
Then rejuvenate from the mountain tips.

Reflections of me , reflections of you ...
we each hold each other's missing piece to pursue ..
Reflections of me , reflections of you,
without you i'll never find the answers to the clues...

Let's not sulk too long over sisters who have passed,
we carry them in our spirits , the wicked were out classed.
Remember not to tear down ,in a sister the part you may wear,
But always reflect love resound and clear.

We can visit each other , through our memory anytime,
Laughing , dancing and reciting rhymes ...
Yes, it's painful sometimes, the things we've endured ,
Through your support we become more secure

Reflections of me , reflections of you ...
we each hold each other's missing piece to pursue ..
Reflections of me , reflections of you,
without you I'll never find the answers to the clues...

There is no need to tear down our sisters. We are a circle and our lives are a mirror. Even if our situations, circumstances, are different, there is a piece to the situation you can relate to. Great write! A necessary piece of advice. I have found myself in many a woman I did not think I could relate to...............E

Yes , a lesson that took a great deal of time to learn ... but worth it when i share it , and someone else grows from it ...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
