    Reflections

    Eye cast upon the lake
    Reflected a vision of she
    Who time did forsake
But will not let me be

    The wind past my ear
    Called that certain name
Of she whom I held dear
No one else just the same

With the taste of red wine
    Memories of a beloved face
That I held as near divine
Causing again my heart to race

Your story is one that is all to familiar to me. I do love the way you put it into words though. It is beautiful and keeps the reader in the moment. Latin Angel

how precious is the misery of missing our beloved...your words are haunting yet leave me with a sense of hope, that the possibilities still exist and maybe it's not too late...wonderful writing, I really like this.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
