    Poem Commentary

    I was thinking about my ex.. And i started singing to myself about him and these words just came out and i quickly grabbed a pen and paper and wrote them out.. I dont know if its really that good but tell me what you think..

    Reminders Of Him

    Everywhere I go

    I see your face.

    Everyone I know

    Just can’t take your place.

     

    And if everyone knew

    All that we’ve been thru

    Maybe they would understand

    How hard it is

    To stand on my own.

     

    With you I was never alone.

    I miss the feeling of knowing

    You were always there.

    Knowing someone always cared.

     

    And now I see you everywhere I go.

    But I know it’s not you.

    Just little pieces I once knew

    Just little reminders of someone I once loved.

    A very nice poem that reflects how you truly feel about someone you obviously love. The loss of love is difficult and sad, but you can get through it. I would suggest writing all the emotions you feel inside on the page, it doesn't have to be a poem, and it doesn't have to be all positive, just write and see where it takes you. Pour your soul onto the page, it will help you heal and you may find a very strong piece of work coming from it.

    For you to be writing like this at 14 is amazing to me. I could NEVER have written like this when I was a teen. It's beautiful and very heartfelt, Ashley. Nice job:)
