Poem Commentary

Comments and suggestions welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

Renewal

water and wind
elemental promises
born of God
spirit-wise
acting to humanize

beyond our ken
to shift and altar us
grounding fallenness
raising our reach
as we beseech

though half-aware
we know we are led
to seek the sky
while here below
longing for the reign-bow

Yes your words are deliberate and perhaps sometimes that elusive rainbow just seems to be where Judy Garland said: somewhere over the rainbow way up high......nice read and it talks to you and lets you talk back to it.............

A powerful content indeed. You speak through wisdom of ages that is well conveyed throughout the entire poem. Great job!

So glad you liked it; I wasn't sure anyone would get this one, it is kind of obscure. Thanks!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
