                                                             RESCUE ME



    I WAS IN TROUBLE TRAP IN DISPAIR
    JUST LOOK LIKE TO ME NO ONE CARE
    I FELT I WAS THERE ALL ALONE
    IT SEEM LIKE ALL HOPE WAS GONE
    I WAS HOLDING ON FOR LIFE
    IN MY HEART WAS BITTER ANGRY AND STRIFE
    I WAS TRAP THERE FOR DAYS
    I WONDER IF I WERE GOING TO BE THERE ALWAYS
    I COULDN'T SEE NO WAY OUT
    I SAID MY LIFE IS OVER WITHOUT A DOUBT
    I WAS TRAP AND NEEDED A OUT LET
    NO ONE IS GOING TO RESCUE ME I BET
    I WAS JUST LOOKING DOWN TO THE GROUND
    SEEM LIKE THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND
    I WOULD NEVER LOOK UP TO THE SKY
    I WOULD NEVER ASK GOD WHY
    BUT ONE LONSOME DAY
    I FELL ON MY KNEES AND STARTED TO PRAY
    I WENT TO CHURCH AND HEARD THE WORD
    I BELEIVE WHAT I HAD HEARD
    THEN I SAID I AM NOT GONE TO DIE
    I ARISE AND WAS BAPTIZE
    GOD RESCUE ME
    THANK GOD NOW I SEE

    I LOVE this one. I don't know if this is a personal testimony, but if it is, you can feel the emotion. I love your work. A few typos but that isn't anything compared to the strong emotion in this poem.

    Very inspirational Clifton.... One this is always true about this, when we can't find the strength within ourselves to make sense of life and the world around us, we turn to the one true source to give us hope... Faith... Good write...

    While we may not always understand God's decisions in our lives, we will often find that in the end all works out for the best. What we should seek is to lift our eyes up to the Heavens and never be afraid to God in prayer. Beautiful!

    Thank you so much for this poetic tribute to our Lord. while reading it chills went up and down my spine. You painted such a terrific picture in my mind. and yes God does rescue those that Love Him. This poem is a 20 as far as I am concerned . Thank you again for such an inspiratinal work.
