The reason I yearn for that pen everyday,
The reason I need poetry as a baby needs its mother,
The reason my outlet is a bunch of people I have never met in person,
The reason my poems are dark and mostly about depression and suicide,
These reason are because of who I am.
Poetry keeps me from suicide,
It keeps me from selfharm,
It helps those I have never even met comfort my fragile heart.
I need poetry because of my thoughts,
Sometimes my thoughts even creep me out,
Rereading them is the hardest,
Thinking I actually wrote that poem of sadness and depression,
Ask any of my friends at school I'm always upbeat.
I guess that means I've become to good at the fake smile.
The fake smile for five years yeah I guess it improves,
I have the thoughts and yearn for that pen to write down every word and it flows into the form all my friends on here know very well!
