Rise Above

Rise Above

And they are going to hate
They are going to debate
They will make waves of craze
That cause a daze in the parade

Its unruly of such a sort
Its untimely at any port
Its sad and disgusting
That people would brake your legs so you have nothing

So on your knees you stay
With this life they play
The world will remember the lies you told
God sees how it will unfold
And you will know
How vindictive your eyes look
How loud ur heart cries

Til then I look to the sky
With a smirk of satisfaction
Along with a walk of attraction
Everlastin'.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
