Roll On, Nightime.

Roll On, Nightime.

Roll on into the night
It's the same as always
Midnights approaching and so it starts
Mind won't stop whirling, thoughts are so vicious
No way to control it, just breathe through the issues.
Down and dirty, and loving all that
Trading it all for a night in the sack.
Waking at all hours, mourning the day
Trying my best to keep the nightmares at bay.
In daylight anything at all makes sense,
At night that gets lots and memories defend
The thought that this all could lead somewhere new
Other than cold sheets and a brand new view
God, this time, I'd better be right,
Cos I need all this strength for far harder fights.
