Roses
Eyes that burn the soulThey follow me,
Here and everywhere
Was that you goal
To become an addiction,
Me, tied to your lair?
I became enslaved
To my tortured emotion
You were all I craved
A potent love potion
One morning I woke cold
Realised it was all a game
Suddenly I believed everything
I had ever being warned about
And cried in my shame,
What you had done to me
Lifted the roses from my eyes
And walked out the door
You made yourself a twisted prize
And I always came back for more
Not this time, No!
I left your life then
just knew I had to go
Now I scribe my life
With this bloody pen
