RUBY

Please talk to me of Wisdom
   I will understand.
I promise not to judge
If you place Her in my hand.

She is kind and gentle
   And always so profound.
More precious than the ruby
In the belly of the ground.

The fruit of Wisdom should be seen
   Sought after to be heard.
Keep it, guard it, let it guide you
It's in the pages of His word.

Please talk to me of Wisdom
   I will understand.
I promise not to judge
If you place Her in my hand.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
